Wednesday Wrap Around – How to Handle Anderson & Gallows (Apr.20)

Last night we witnessed Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows make their second appearance on WWE television. As of right now, there’s multiple angles they can get involved with. They could be booked with the tag division, or remain in the main event scene as mercenaries. However, booking them isn’t going to be an easy task. The two have a ton of potential, but it’s quite easy to fumble their momentum. The two have officially appeared in the main event scene, so they shouldn’t be taken lightly.

As Main Eventers

I’m not implying that any of these two should carry the main title. If anything, I think it would be more interesting they both captured the two midcard belts, as that still shows each of them is a threat on their own. The best way to book the former Bullet Club members would be giving them a similar aura as the Shield. The Shield never needed any titles get over, and they were always one of the focal points to the product. They were a force that most people on the roster were scared of. I don’t believe the two necessarily have to join forces with anybody as of now. I’ve heard many fans speak of them joining Roman Reigns, but wouldn’t that force them to take a back seat? Of course it will. Similar to how the Shield would have taken the back seat if they only worked for CM Punk. This is also the case with a potential Finn Balor call up. Even though NXT’s resident demon is tied to Anderson & Gallows, an immediate debut will only overshadow them. I say just let them run amuck. Let them cost AJ his title opportunity, but make sure Reigns goes down with him. After that, they can easily feud with those two babyfaces in a tag team program. Eventually, they can build up to adding a third member (Finn Balor) à la NWO. That way the fans have become familiar with them, and it makes their act much more exciting.

The Tag Division

Based on the way these two men have debuted, they shouldn’t spend too much time with the tag division. In fact, they should be booked superior to any tag team (excluding the New Day). Also, that division has currently been flooded with new talent, who also deserve to get over. Inserting Anderson & Gallows would only make them out shine teams such as the Vaudevillians, Enzo & Cass, the Usos, Dudleys, etc. With the way they’ve taken out Reigns, one could only assume that they would destroy any tag team that comes in their path. Chasing the tag titles further down the line would work a lot better. That would allow for a few other teams to build credibility. Also, after Anderson & Gallows have run through the main event players, then I think it would be refreshing for them to conquer the tag division.

This is just one fan’s take on booking Anderson & Gallows. Like I said, there’s plenty of other ways they can be booked. In my opinion, this is just the most logical. Feel free to leave your thoughts.

  1. Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I
submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring
blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing.
Do you have any tips for rookie blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.
